Batman fans, welcome! The home we're featuring now is shaped like a bat, for real! It may be a nice instance of gorgeous contemporary design that can offer the home almost any shape you dream about!
Villa G was created by architect André Pihl to displace an existent 1960s cottage in countryside. Actually, such a peculiar shape and full-height windows were created to get max of the views and also make several spaces more creating wings. Now there three interlocking diamond-shaped volumes that provide a special appearance to the house.
The central form contains a living room and kitchen incorporating a built-in sofa and a spherical antique fireplace salvaged from the old summerhouse. On both sides with this common space are private wings containing bedrooms, bathrooms and small lounge areas. Each wing has its own entrance and can be connected with the main living space with way of a sliding door. On sea-facing side, the private areas along with central room all open onto a decked terrace.
Your house's interior features a minimal, black material palette made to create a refined and calming ambience. The spaces are filled up with natural light from the glazed doors and a skylight above your kitchen. White walls and a polished-concrete floor provide a neutral backdrop for furniture using varying tones and textures, along with occasional brightly colored accents like vases, chairs or a sofa.
The dark facade complements the natural surroundings also incorporates tall, narrow windows which frame specific views. Outdoors you may observe a gravel covered patio, which is reached from almost any room of the home. The materials and its natural look was chosen to blend with the type around more. Get inspired by the pics and sneak ideas for your summertime!
